Full and Short Papers

  • Long Papers (up to 8 pages) describing original and unpublished work that provides significant results of scientific research.

Posters

  • The Posters track will provide an opportunity to publish late-breaking results, technical descriptions, smaller research contributions, works-in-progress and student projects in a concise and visible format. 
  • Contributors must send an abstract up to 2 pages, and a DIN A4 page containing a draft of the poster, through EasyChair, in the ACM format. The abstracts of accepted posters will be published in the conference proceedings.
  • Important dates:

Doctoral Colloquium

  • The Doctoral Colloquium aims to be a forum for PhD students to present a summary of the objectives, methodology and preliminary results of their on-going PhD Theses.
  • Proposals must be uploaded through EasyChjair and consist of 2 pages in ACM format,  including a description of a significant problem in the field of research and clearly formulatd research questions; the current status of the problem domain and related solutions; Preliminary ideas, proposed approach and results achieved so far; research methodology that is applied or planned; contributions of the applicant’s work to the problem domain highlighting their uniqueness.
  • A summary of the PhD (up to 2 pages in  ACM format) will be published in the conference proceedings.

Demonstrations and installations

  • Examples of interaction systems in operation based on new and emerging devices that will be demonstrated in the congress, especially during coffee breaks.
  • Send  through EasyChair two pages describing the system, and a page that summarizes the technical requirements to run the demonstration, both in PDF format, following the ACM template.  The roposals should be accompanied by screenshots, images or videos of up to 30 MB.

Experiences and Case Studies

  • The Experiences and Case Studies will present real applications and projects performed at the industry or public administration, of interest to the HCI community due to the results and /or the methods and techniques used.

  • HCI Research Group Presentations will describe past and present research activities, projects and future plans, including opportunities for collaboration with other research groups.

  • A number of Relevant Articles already Published in impact journals will be selected to be presented at the conference. In this case only the abstract will be published in the conference proceedings.
  • Contributors must send an abstract up to 2 pages, including a reference to the original publication. The abstracts of accepted relevant articles will be published in the conference proceedings.

Worksop/Tutorial Proposals

  • The workshops track offers the opportunity to organize specialized forums along the conference and attract the attention of participants to emerging and trendy topics of research.  Workshops will be held on June 25, 2019 either in the morning or the afternoon..
  • Send 2-pages workshop proposals through EasyChair in the ACM format, that include an Introduction; Workshop aims and goals; Format of the workshop and duration; Target audience. Expected number of attendees; Organizers  background, or short bio; References; Special requirements. A summary of the accespted workshopst will be published in the conference proceedings.

Special track: Advances and Challenges in Human-Computer Interaction in Digitalized Industry

  • Long Papers (up to 8 pages) describing original and unpublished work that provides significant results of scientific research.

  • Accepted articles will be published under the same conditions as contributions of the general call.

5th Degree and Master Thesis about HCI contest, organized by AIPO

  • The thesis must be related to the Human-Computer Interaction, within the topics of interest of the Interaction 2019 conference. A prize of 250 € will be awarded to the best degree thesis and another prize of 350 € to the best master thesis. The registration fees for the 2019 Interaction conference will be covered, both for the winners and for the second prize, which must present their work at the congress.
